Rev. Richard Blount
Pastor Richard Blount is a husband, a father of four, and an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church. He has a Bachelor of Fine Art from the University of Alabama, and a Masters Divinity from Asbury Theological seminary. Pastor Richard took his first appointment in 2011, and has been serving churches in Stanly and Davidson Counties in North Carolina where God’s call on his life has been to strengthen the ministries of the churches where he has served and to leave them healthier and stronger than when he arrived. Pastor Richard and his family came to Weaverville UMC July 1st of 2022. Pastor Richard and his family have an orange tabby named Milo and a yellow English Labrador named Maggie.
